About this app

Ubidrop is the simplest way to transfer photos, music and any kind of files across Android, Mac and Windows.

No need for cables, uploading your files to the cloud, or sending files to yourself over email or messaging apps like Whatsapp or Telegram.

Ubidrop transfers your files over your local WiFi network. The files stay secure and you are the only one who can access them.

How does it work?

Files are transferred over your local WiFi network and no personal data is shared via a 3rd party or online. This means that your Mac and your Android need to be on the same Wi-FI to work.

Check if your devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi by comparing the emojis displayed on both the Android and Desktop apps.

Is Ubidrop free?
Ubidrop for Android is free. Ubidrop for Mac and Windows comes with a 7 day trial. During the trial you can send as many files as you like. Considering purchasing a license once the trial is over to continue using Ubidrop on that computer.

What files can I send?

You can send any kind of files, no matter the type.

How fast does it work?

Currently, it shares photos and videos taken from your phone's camera in a couple of seconds.

How can I transfer files from my Desktop to my Android?

In your Mac, click on the Ubidrop icon in the System Tray and then click Send to Nearby

Where are incoming files stored?

Your files will automatically be stored in your Android's Downloads folder.

On your Desktop, the files are stored on your Desktop. You can change this location by tapping on the icon of your system tray and then click 'Save files to...'.

It works, but transfers are cancelled if your phone goes to sleep. If you restart the transfer, you end up with duplicate files. You also can't control where files are transferred to on your Mac - they just get dumped on the desktop.

It keeps telling me to "Start Ubidrop on my Mac", first I don't have a mac computer and second the windows version is nowhere to be seen.
