Press Kit: Last update 14 November 2022 Hello 👋, Alex here. This Press Kit contains information, resources and helpful links about Ubidrop. Feel free to use or share any of them in your content. 📖 Backstory: I always found sharing files from my Android phone to my Mac a pain. I wanted to have a way to share my photos, videos, documents etc from my phone directly to my MBP, without having to upload anything to the 'cloud' or some messaging app. Those ways tend to be less secure and fairly slow. This made me create Ubidrop, a small app which makes sharing files across MacOS and Android seamless. It uses your local WiFi or hotspot to do the sharing, so no file is shared with third parties. Plus it does not need Internet access to do the sharing. 🌏 Ubidrop discussed on social: 🐦 Getting viral on Twitter: https://twitter.com/alexstyl/status/1575291130975256577 👽 Front page of /r/macosapps: https://www.reddit.com/r/macapps/comments/xiz0hl/i_made_an_app_to_share_files_from_my_android_to/ 💻 Controversial discussions on Hackernews: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33284485 🏆 #2 Productivity of the Week on Product Hunt: https://www.producthunt.com/products/ubidrop 🤳 Social links: 🏕 Official Website: https://www.ubidrop.com 🤖 Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubidrop.android 🐦 Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/ubidrop For any enquiries or support, email me at support@ubidrop.com Cheers, – Alex (https://twitter.com/alexstyl)
